Telescope House (2019)

2019, wood, camera, monitors, media players, glass, audio speakers

Telescope House is a house-shaped construction consisting of three sections, each one smaller than the next, like a telescope. It engages with the idea of spatializing images and memories, giving viewers agency to navigate depth by alternating between multiple focal planes, suggestive of the non-linear act of remembering.

Demonstration video of "Telescope House," a multi-screen video construction shown here installed as part of Carl's "myoptic" show at Hallwalls Contemporary Arts Center, Buffalo, NY.
